City Motto Contest Winner Announced
LAKE CHARLES Mayor Nic Hunter has announced the winning entry to the City Motto Contest held shortly after he took office in July.
The winning entry is United for Progress and Prosperity. It was submitted by local resident Angie Dilmore.
We released a call for submissions and our community answered with nearly 60 entries, said Mayor Nic Hunter. Our committee had a very tough time narrowing the choices down to one winner. The winning submission best captured our overall hope for this administration. Our goal is to continue along the lines of progress and growth that Lake Charles has experienced in recent years, as one united front from north to south and east to west.
The Hunter Administration motto will be used on official City of Lake Charles documents as well as a variety of other collateral material.
